Welcome to Combat Cookers

Combat Cookers is an organization started by a group of soldiers deployed to Iraq in 2009-2010, wanting to help Veterans in their time of need. Our purpose is to put on benefits to raise money to give back to a group of heroes and their families who bravely sacrificed themselves in order to keep our freedoms intact. These soldiers knew first-hand the hardship families go through while a soldier is deployed.

Combat Cookers is a group dedicated to reaching out and helping veterans and their families. Those needs may be as simple as helping pay a bill or provide needs for handicapped veterans to make their life easier. We are helping provide resources for veterans of all branches and time of service. Combat Cookers knows that the needs of veterans are constantly changing, and we are open to new ways to raise funds to meet those changing needs.

The founding members of the organization were all part of Alpha Btry 1/133 FA, 36th ID. Many have served on numerous deployments with the Texas Army National Guard. They are dedicated to the service of their country and their community. These members have taken to heart the Army values:

  • Loyalty - Bear true faith and allegiance to the U.S. constitution, the Army, and other soldiers. Be loyal to the nation and its heritage.
  • Duty - Fulfill your obligations. Accept responsibility for your own actions and those entrusted to your care. Find opportunities to improve oneself for the good of the group.
  • Respect - Rely upon the golden rule. How we consider others reflects upon each of us, both personally and as a professional organization.
  • Selfless Service - Put the welfare of the nation, the Army and your subordinates before your own. Selfless service leads to organizational teamwork and encompasses discipline, self-control and faith in the system.
  • Honor - Live up to all of the Army values.
  • Integrity - Do what is right - legally and morally. Be willing to do what is right even when no one is looking. This is our moral compass and inner voice.
  • Personal Courage - Our ability to face physical and moral fear, danger, or adversity, both physical and moral courage.
These founding members have dedicated their lives living the Army values while they served. Combat Cookers feel it fitting to adopt these same values as a way of forming a group dedicated to providing a helping hand to those who served.

Combat Cookers is an open organization to all military and civilians. We are seeking members who want to give something back to the men and women who gave so selflessly of themselves and who believe in the values adopted by this organization.

Corporate sponsors who wish to help provide the group with essential backing and/or donations so the group can provide quality uninterrupted services to our veterans and their families by contacting sponsors@combatcookers.org

Individual donations are also excepted from people who wish to show their appreciation to the numerous men and women who heeded the call and who stood watch to insure the freedoms of this country would not fall.
